About
Dr. Mark Garcia is an award-winning vascular and interventional radiologist who received his Masters Degree from the University of Illinois and his Doctor of Medicine from Thomas Jefferson Medical College. He brings with him years of experience in publishing academic articles and research, conducting clinical trials and providing quality care to patients.
Prior to joining American Vascular Associates, Dr. Garcia practiced in both private practice and as an employed physician at Christiana Care Health Services for nearly 20 years. While there, he was the Chief of Interventional Radiology, the Medical Director of the VIR Fellowship Program, and the Medical Director of both the Center for Comprehensive Venous Health and Christiana Care Center for Heart & Vascular Health Peripheral Vascular Section. He then served as the Chief Medical Officer for Merit Medical Systems before starting his own private practice and, combined with his wife Elaine, opened an OBL. He is also the founder and medical director of Endovascular Consultants, in Wilmington, DE.
