About

Dr. VanBuren is a board-certified radiologist, subspecialized in ultrasound, abdominopelvic and breast imaging. She is an expert in diagnostic radiology as well as ultrasound and breast imaging procedures. Dr. VanBuren is the chair of the Gynecological imaging section within the division of Abdominal Radiology and strives to advance gynecologic imaging through clinical practice innovations, education and research, with a dedicated interest in Endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain. Dr. VanBuren is also one of the founding Course Directors for the Mayo Clinic Gynecological and Breast Imaging course; one of the first of its kind. On a national level, through the Society of Abdominal Radiology she has co-founded and chaired the Disease Focused Panel on Endometriosis for the Society of Abdominal Radiology and has functioned as the invited guest editor for the journal Abdominal Radiology Special Edition on Endometriosis. Her ongoing work has also been highlighted at a variety of national and international radiology, gynecology and pelvic pain conferences. Dr. VanBuren takes pride in mentoring trainees and propagating a passion for medical imaging and clinical collaboration.
